Tooth sensitivity

Tooth sensitivity is the discomfort you feel when you chew hot or cold foods or drinks. This pain comes from receding or lost gum tissue around the tooth. In both cases, the root of the tooth is exposed, which makes the tooth more sensitive.
To protect yourself from tooth sensitivity, use a soft-bristled toothbrush and a toothpaste made for sensitive teeth. And when you brush twice a day, always gently clean where the tooth meets the gum to remove all traces of plaque. Flossing will help remove the rest.
Acidic foods and drinks such as fruit juices, soft drinks and all citrus fruits are particularly hard on teeth, so it is best to limit them.
If the pain persists, ask our staff for advice. We will be happy to guide you toward a solution suited to your situation.
